They are totally unaware... September, 2025
I’m talking about my tomato plants. Yes, it has been warmer out. Even the birds have been flitting about like it is spring; but it isn’t. The trees are changing and the nights are cooler; but those tomato plants just keep blooming! (Granted, I know that plants do not have the ability to notice the things that we do.)
Yesterday, the landscapers came to clear away the weeds and trim the bushes and trees. The ivy has been cleaned out so the rats don’t have a place to hide. The once thriving and invading wild roses are dying off. The sun is just too intense for them. (I’m glad because the stems are solid thorns and no one wants to clip them!)
George, our maintenance man, did a pretty good trim of the holly bush. My geraniums are blooming to beat the band… front and back. Yes, they are protected. Are you? Are you ready for what’s coming or just waiting around to see what is going to happen? It is my hope that you are doing the prep work so that when Jesus comes, you have let go of the things of this world and the distractions that keep you spiritually tied down. Yes, it is difficult work yet “eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV) Why settle for the perishable?
