Priceless Gift.., February 2024
You may not believe it, but that is what you are in the eyes of a loving God. How do I know? Read on…
David said, “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13 NLT And God said, “Bring all who claim Me as their God, for I have made them for my glory. It was I who created them.” Isaiah 43:7 NLT
“The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.” Jeremiah 31:3 NKJV “See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands.” Isaiah 49:16 NLT
These are just a few verses that barely open a window to a clearer understanding of God’s love for all people. Living a life apart from Him slams it shut, locks and barricades any possibility that anything from the Bible is true. It isn’t until something happens that shatters a person, or their life or both, that out of a pit of despair there is a desire to look beyond themselves. I was there a long time ago and church members are not immune from this either. It is easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of this life and the world; yet tragic when the collateral damage becomes so terrible that hope is gone and there is no end to the pain and misery. Been there too… When all my solutions and ideas fail, my eyes are ready to see Jesus.
May you and I never forget that Jesus wants us to come to Him, lay our burdens at His feet, is ever willing to forgive, cleanse and heal or hearts and our lives and promises greater things than this life has to offer.
Look to Him
Look to Him
O troubled soul
Your happiness
Is His eternal goal.
Look to Him
Who is tried & true
He has answers
Just for you.
Look to Him
O friendless soul
He lingers close
Just let Him know.
Look to Him
Who knows your pain
He suffered too
And rose again.
Look to Him
Who longs to save
From the net of sin
A self-made grave.
Look to Him
Defeated one
His victory is ours
The battle’s won!
And best of all
He’ll come again
Oh, to be with Him
Who’ll eternally reign!
May one and all
Finish the refrain:
“All praise to Jesus!
Amen and amen!”
