Going Where the People Are, July 2026

“We need to go where the people are!” That’s what Pastor KhaiKhai said to me. So, church members went to meet thousands at the World Cup at Lumen Field. Not everyone can do something like this, so where are the people for them?

Each person has a “mission field.” Young and older, in God’s eyes age does not matter. We have been called to “Go!” So many need see the love of Jesus in us… through our loving acts of kindness and sharing the Bible truths we love.

For some, it is family. For others it is where they are going to school or work. It is important that we do well, and God will lead us to people who are looking for peace, a better to way to live, or something more than a hollow form of spirituality… or looking for Him.

Everyone has neighbors. How can you bless them? Often, we think that a piece of literature needs to be given or quote a Bible verse. Sometimes, that may be good. Listening and attempting to understand someone’s challenge and sympathizing with them can be more healing. Jesus did not have quick answers when He was ministering to people who were hurting, sick or weighed down with guilt. Many in this world long to be told that they are loved and appreciated. A kind word or one simple thoughtful act can do more than a 5- or 10-minute “sermon.” As we do for others, God does not want us to compromise our faith. Taking a strong stand for the LORD may have a greater effect than we realize. There are those in the background who quietly watch. God will guide, as we let Him. Be blessed! MB
