God is Good…, November 2025

God is good and there is so much to be thankful for! We are in the “holiday season” and about to sit down to a special meal with family or friends. There will also be those who are homeless, in shelters, alone, grieving, discouraged, unemployed, divorced, and ill or dying. In God’s goodness to us, what can we bring to those who are not as fortunate? For those who are hesitant to give a Bile study or a Revelation Seminar or lead out as a teacher or many of the more visible forms of “God’s work,” reaching out to the less fortunate is something that is dear to God’s heart.

Listening to someone and asking to pray with them can bring encouragement in their discouragement. Fixing a simple meal and taking it to a neighbor or friend and eating it with them brings sweet fellowship in the face of their loneliness. Having warm socks, gloves, hats, clothing, and blankets in the car; for a homeless person, along with a sandwich and water, with a small pamphlet or book to bring hope to one in their deep hopelessness.

Our world is dying. What can you bring to those who are caught up in it? What blessing from God will you pass on to another? Yes, “we are an offering,” “bought with a price.” In the light of the sacrificial life and death of Jesus, I can only bow and sing, “How great thou art!”

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and know that you are loved. MB
